The app we wished existed

PourIQ started in a restaurant in Virginia Beach. Like every bar manager, we were drowning in spreadsheets. Losing hours to manual inventory counts. Guessing at reorder points. Finding out we were out of a wine only when a guest ordered it.

The problem with what existed

We tried the existing inventory apps. BevSpot wanted $99 a month. Bar-i charged $450 and required Bluetooth scales. Others had clunky interfaces clearly built by people who had never poured a drink during a Friday rush.

So we built it ourselves

Every feature comes from a real problem we faced on the floor. The minus and plus buttons sit on opposite sides of the screen because you need one-handed speed during service. Smart Count exists because nobody has time to count 600 items every week. The guest QR menu exists because guests kept asking what wines do you have by the glass.

PourIQ is not backed by venture capital. It is built by people who close the bar at midnight and open the inventory app at 6am.
